Kirk TV invited ACT to join their Environmental Day programme. It was a chance to talk about why textile collection matters in Kenya and how recovery systems can keep clothes and shoes in use for longer.

During the conversation, we explained how ACT collects and sorts post-consumer textiles, and how upcycling helps reduce the growing volume of waste entering dumpsites each day. We also shared why community awareness is essential — from separating textiles at home to choosing reuse, repair, and upcycling whenever possible.

The segment highlighted a simple message: responsible textile collection is key to reducing waste and creating value from what already exists.
