About ACT
We collect, sort, and transform used textiles and shoes for reuse, upcycling, and recycling. Turning waste into opportunity.
Our main facility is based in Marurui, Nairobi, Kenya, near Marurui Primary School.
Donating Textiles & Drop-off Points
Find your nearest ACT bin on our Drop-off Points map. Drop your textiles clean and dry, in a closed bag.
If you have bulky items, request a free pick-up and we’ll come to you.
We accept all clean, dry textiles and shoes. Including clothes, curtains, towels, bedding, and accessories.
Please tie shoes together and place everything in a closed bag.
We sort every item by hand. Some are reused or donated through our community partners, others are upcycled into new products or downcycled into useful materials. Nothing goes to waste.
Impact & Partnerships
We donate fitting clothes and bedding to Matthew 25 Children’s Home and use part of our revenue to support community projects.
By reusing and recycling, we also create fair jobs and reduce dependency on imported clothes.
Yes. We partner with brands and organisations to recycle uniforms, manage textile waste, and create upcycled corporate products.
Products & Shipping
All our upcycled items are available in the ACT Shop. You can also find selected products in partner stores and events across Nairobi.
Every item is handmade from recovered textiles. Collected, sorted, and upcycled in Kenya by our local team of skilled tailors and makers.
Yes. For corporate or bulk requests, reach out to us through our contact page Together we can design circular products that fit your brand or project.
Yes, we do. All orders are shipped from Nairobi, Kenya. International deliveries are handled through DHL, and shipping times and costs are calculated at checkout. Please note that delivery may take a little longer depending on your location.
Once you’ve placed an order on our website, you can easily track your shipment through DHL. You’ll receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order is dispatched. Simply enter this number on the DHL website to monitor your order and stay updated on its delivery status.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, or M-Pesa for online purchases.
Yes, if your item arrives damaged or incorrect. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery. Because our products are handmade and often one-of-a-kind, we cannot offer standard returns.
