Circular design for CONAD
Through our partnership with Tujikuze, a consortium of organizations creating jobs in the green economy, ACT contributes to the production of circular products for CONAD, one of Italy’s leading supermarket cooperatives.
Together with 27 communities, we’re producing around 30,000 bags and 30,000 bracelets and chokers, involving over 1,200 people across Kenya. Each item is made using post-industrial waste, locally sourced organic cotton, and recycled brass.
This collaboration demonstrates how global brands and local communities can build circular supply chains that generate real social and environmental impact.

About Tujikuze
Tujikuze is a social impact enterprise based in Nairobi created with ACT and three other like-minded Kenyan companies: Savio Youth Enterprise, Virtuous, and Satubo.
Together, we connect African craftsmanship with circular design, producing high-quality bags and accessories that are fair, local, and sustainable.
By linking makers across Kenya to global brands, Tujikuze helps redefine how fashion is made and valued. Creating fair work, reducing waste, and building a more sustainable future for people and planet.
