How we do it
How we do it
We install collection containers for used textiles and footwear in shopping malls, religious institutions, schools and universities. People can drop off their unwanted clothing in one of our bins. Large volumes or bulky items, such as mattresses, can be picked by our pick-up service.
Every item is sorted and carefully evaluated. Wearable items are donated to Matthew 25 Childrens Home or are re-distributed through resellers within vulnarable communities. Recyclable materials are processed into blankets, bags, carpets, clothes and much more!
Through collecting and recycling we aim to monetise used textiles and textile waste. Funds are used to sustain the organisation and support Matthew 25. The more textiles we process the more jobs we create and the more children can be taken off the streets!
