Next to sorted out batches of collected items, ACT donates a part of the profit to charity. For every collected kilo of donated items ACT sponsors the collecting partners charity fund. Together with the collecting partner ACT selects how the generated funds are spend.

The Knitting Project Foundationfacilitates the foundation of small scale knitting industries. So far 3 knitting industries have been erected in Limuru, Karen and Kitengela. The foundation teaches unemployed youngsters skills in knitting and stitching. They mainly focus on manufacturing affordable school uniforms, but more and more handle orders from shop owners and large brands.
